About
I’m a mama to a beautiful daughter, a student, and writer/poet. I’ve been a personal trainer for 14 years and specialized in training pre/post natal as well as athletes and general fitness. I also worked as a birthing doula for 7 years and helped support women birthing their babies. After I had my daughter 2 years ago, I decided to take a new route and go back to school. I’m currently working on my BA in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I enjoy writing poetry and short stories. I am in the works of writing a non-fiction book with a friend on our journey into motherhood and the ironic path that led us together. Mary, how I’ve managed NOT to find your blog before now is a wonder to me! I’m just thankful you found mine! I only had to read a few of your haiku to see that they are of a high order of excellence. I’m thrilled and honored to follow you on our mutual haiku journey and I thank you for following my writing as well. I have over 1000 of my haiku posted on WP at this time, nearly all of them written in the last two years. I’m very interested in learning more about how you achieved such mastery of haiku at such an early age and invite you to email me at my personal email address if you would like. If not, I understand! :)
